Ingredients
Beetroot & soya chunks tikki –
- Grated Beetroot – 1 cup
- Grated carrot – 1 cup
- Soaked & grounded Soya chunks – 1 cup
- Boiled & mashed potato – 2
- Soaked poha – ¼ cup
- Gram flour – 2 tbsp
- Ginger & green chili paste – 1/2 tbsp
- Fresh coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Cumin powder – ½ tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Cashew nuts – optional
- Oil – ¼ cup
Method
- Firstly in a large bowl, combine grated beetroot, grated carrot, grounded soya chunks, boiled mashed potatoes, and soaked poha.
- Now add gram flour, ginger & green chili paste, fresh coriander leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
- Mix everything thoroughly to form a dough-like mixture.
- Now take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round tikkis or patties.
- Place a cashew nut in the center of each tikki and press it in.
- Heat oil in a shallow frying pan over low heat.
- Once the oil is hot, gently place the tikkis in the pan and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
