Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour – 1½ cups
- Milk – 1 cup (lukewarm)
- Powdered sugar – ¾ cup

- Tutti frutti – ¼ cup
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – ½ teaspoon
- Salt – ⅛ teaspoon
- Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon
Method
Step 1: Prepare the Tutti Frutti
- Take ¼ cup tutti frutti in a bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon wheat flour to it.
- Mix well until all the pieces are lightly coated. This step prevents the tutti frutti from sinking to the bottom of the cake. Keep it aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Dry Ingredients
- Place a sieve over a bowl.
- Add 1½ cups whole wheat flour, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp baking soda, and ⅛ tsp salt.
- Sift everything together once or twice for even mixing. You can also use all-purpose flour (maida) instead of wheat flour if preferred. Keep this dry mixture aside.
Step 3: Preheat the Kadhai
- Place a heavy-bottomed kadhai or deep pan on low flame.
- Preheat it for 10 minutes with a lid on.

- If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.

Step 10: Cool & Serve
- Remove the cake from the kadhai.
- Let it cool completely.
