For the Cheese Balls
- 2 med Boiled potato (grated)
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Processed cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp Red chili flakes
- 1/4 tsp Mixed herbs
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp Finely chopped freshcoriander leaves
For the Coating
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- Salt as per taste
- Water, as required
Prepare the Potato Mixture
In a largemixing bowl, combine the grated boiled potatoes, breadcrumbs, grated processedcheese, red chili powder, red chili flakes, mixed herbs, cornstarch, salt, andchopped coriander leaves.
Mix everythingwell until a soft dough forms.
Shape the Cheese Balls
Lightly greaseyour palms with oil.
Take a smallportion of the potato mixture and flatten it.
Place onemozzarella cheese in the center.
Seal the edgesand roll into a smooth ball.
Repeat with theremaining mixture.
Prepare the Batter
In anotherbowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and salt.
Graduallyadd water while whisking to make a smooth, slightly thin batter.
Coat the Cheese Balls
Dip each cheeseball into the flour batter.
Lift with afork and allow excess batter to drip off.
Roll inbreadcrumbs until evenly coated
Forextra crispiness, repeat the batter and breadcrumb coating once more.
Lets Fry
Heat oil overmedium heat.
Carefully add afew cheese balls at a time.
Fry for 2–3minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown and crispy.
Remove ontokitchen paper.
Serveimmediately.
