Ingredients
- Roughly chopped carrot – 1
- Green peas – 1/2 cup
- Boiled Sweet potato – 2
- Chopped ginger – 1 inch
- Fresh coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
- Green chili – 3
- Curry leaves – 1 sprig
- Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
- Chat masala powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil
- Gram flour – 2 tbsp
Method-
- In a vegetable chopper, add the roughly chopped carrot, green peas, curry leaves, green chillies, and chopped ginger. Chop until finely mixed.
- Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté on medium flame for 4-5 minutes. Ensure they remain crunchy—don’t overcook!
- Transfer the sautéed vegetables to a bowl. Let them cool, then add salt, garam masala, chaat masala, and finely chopped coriander. Mix well.
- Mash the boiled sweet potatoes and add them to the vegetable mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Gradually add 2 tbsp gram flour (or rice flour) to the mixture for binding. Adjust the amount as needed to achieve a dough-like consistency. Combine well with your hands.
- Grease your hands with a little oil to prevent sticking. Take small portions of the mixture, shape them into balls, and then flatten them into tikkis.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Place the tikkis in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Your Mix Veg Sweet Potato Tikki is ready! Serve with green chutney, yogurt, or your favourite healthy dip.
