  • 2 cups peanuts
  • ½ teaspoon ghee
  • 1½ teaspoons organic jaggery powder

Method

Step 1: Roast the Peanuts

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the peanuts.
  2. Roast them while stirring continuously until they become aromatic and lightly golden.
  3. Alternatively, you can roast them in a preheated oven.
  4. Allow the peanuts to cool slightly.

Step 2: Remove the Skins

  1. Rub the roasted peanuts between your palms or inside a clean kitchen towel to loosen the skins.
  2. Remove as much of the skin as possible.

Step 3: Grind the Peanuts

  1. Transfer the roasted peanuts to a mixer grinder or food processor.
  2. Grind until they become coarse.
  3. Continue grinding until the natural oils released from the peanuts turn the mixture into a creamy paste.
  4. You can stop earlier for crunchy peanut butter or continue grinding for a smooth texture.

Step 4: Add Flavor

  1. Add ½ teaspoon ghee, 1½ teaspoons organic jaggery powder..
  1. Grind again for another 1–2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  2. Your homemade peanut butter is now ready.
  3. Store it in a clean airtight glass jar.
  4. It stays fresh for about 2 weeks when refrigerated.
