Ingredients
- Cashews – ¼ cup
- Soaked & peeled almonds – ¼ cup
- Black raisin – 2 tbsp
- Fox nuts – 1 cup
- Dates – ½ cup
- Hot milk – 1 cup
- Gond katira – ¼ tsp
- To garnish – chocolate syrup & chopped nuts
Method
Step 1: Soak the Ingredients
- In a large bowl, combine Cashews 1/4 cup,Soaked and peeled almonds – 1/4 cup, Black raisins – 2 tbsp, Fox nuts (makhana) – 1 cup, Dates – 1/2 cup, Gond katira – 1/4 tsp. Pour 1 cup of hot milk over the ingredients.
- Mix everything gently and cover the bowl. Let the mixture soak for about 30 minutes. During this time, the makhana will soften, the dates will become tender, and the gond katira will absorb moisture, helping create a smooth and creamy texture.
Step 2: Blend Until Smooth
- After 30 minutes, transfer the entire soaked mixture into a blender jar.
- Blend thoroughly until you get a smooth, creamy, lump-free paste. Scrape down the sides if necessary and blend again for the smoothest texture.
- The mixture should look rich and velvety.
Step 3: Transfer to a Container
- Pour the blended mixture into a freezer-safe container.
- Sprinkle some chopped black raisins on top for extra texture and flavor. You can also add a few chopped nuts if desired.
- Cover the container tightly with a lid.
Step 4: Freeze
- Place the container in the freezer and allow it to set for 6–7 hours, or until completely firm.
- For the best texture, leave it overnight.
Step 5: Serve
- Once the ice cream is fully set, scoop it into serving bowls or glasses.
- Drizzle generously with chocolate syrup and garnish with chopped nuts.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this creamy, healthy homemade ice cream.
Serving Suggestions
- Top with dark chocolate shavings.
- Drizzle with honey if you prefer extra sweetness.
- Serve alongside fresh fruits such as strawberries, mangoes, or bananas.
- Sprinkle roasted nuts for added crunch.
